Management Committee
The role of the Management Committee is to manage the Club in accordance with the Club’s constitution, by laws and/or standing resolutions and the law. It therefore has the power to make binding decisions on behalf of the Club which are not subject to review by the membership. However, Committees should report to their members on any decisions made and are encouraged to seek their members’ views on any matters that may be considered contentious.
The key to a successful Club is effective leadership and regular activities. The Management Committee’s overall responsibility is to provide opportunities for fun, friendship and fellowship through a wide range of activities that engage its membership.

Committee Elections
At the AGM in March, all Management Committee positions are declared vacant, and an election held for each position.
Planning for the election will commence several months before the AGM so nominations should be lodged by the February General Meeting at the latest.
Nominations can also be called from the floor on the day of the AGM.
All members are encouraged to take an active interest in running of the club and to nominate themselves or another member to sit on the committee.
Positions are voluntary and have a limited term. To help members, a description of what each position entails is available below.
Please complete a Nomination Form and give to our current Secretary, Alison Ross-Smith, or email to admin@wentworthpointprobusclub.org.
Thank you for your interest and participation. The club would not survive without member support.
